Sometimes, adding the values to a select or multi-select option in Notion can be a pain, especially if it is a long list. But there is a trick to adding them quickly, either manually or via import.
- Start with a table property that is set to “Text”.
- Enter each value separated by a comma (you can optionally use the “Merge with CSV” function on the database to import a CSV file with the values already populated).
- Change the property type to either “Select” or “Multi-Select”, and all of the values will populate the list.
That’s it! Note that the list will be populated without color formatting, so if you want colors you will be able to define them afterward.
