Unlike many previous Notion systems for budget management, Sprocket uses the latest of the Notion feature-set and is designed to be intuitive, dynamic, and extremely simple to use. There is no need to create or link to month or year records. Many manual workflows have been replaced with automations. If it looks like it is crazy simple, it is! All of the hard work is being done for you on the backend.

Note that while your complete transaction history is preserved, historical yearly overviews are available only for the current and previous calendar year.

Sprocket now includes charts to visualize many key areas of your budget and spending:

  • Budget Summary
  • Expenses by Category (current month)
  • Income vs. Expenses (current month)
  • Spending by Day (current month)
  • Transactions by Month (for each Flow Category)

Note that Plus plan users of Notion can now enjoy unlimited charts in their workspace. Free plan users will be able to view one chart in their workspace for free. Free plan users will be able to enjoy all of the existing great features of the Sprocket system, however, to view all of the charts please upgrade your Notion plan.
